Eyeshadow Look: Golden Rose

Hey guys! So today I have an eyeshadow look, and it's a golden-rosey look. Sorry it's hard to see in the pic, I had trouble getting a good picture of it!
I used the revlon cream eyeshadow natural color (2nd color in the bottom palette) as a base.
Then I took mac's Honey Lust eyeshadow (left color in the big palette) on the inner corner and around the tear duct.
Last, I took the lighter pink color in the Maybelline quad (top right) and put that on my outer half.

Hey guys! So today I have my august favorites! Sorry for not posting much this week, I had trouble uploading pictures to blogger, but I found a way to upload them until it's fixed.

Maybelline Dreamfresh BB Cream: my new favorite face product because I don't like foundation, but i looove this

Maybelline MegaPlush Volume Mascara: lengthens, volumizes, separates, and doesn't clump. that's all i have to say

Sugar Rose Lip Treatment: the perfect sheer red tint to your lips, plus moisture

Benefit Some Kinda Gorgeous Foundation Faker: i love how it transforms to a silky finish. I really love this

NYX Beige Lipgloss: my go to color, and it lasts a long time and smells like candy.

Covergirl Shimmering Sands Trio: I used this eyeshadow a lot this month, it's very nice

Eyeshadow Look: Smokey Green

Hey guys! So today I have an eyeshadow look that's a bit out of the ordinary for me. Usually I stick to natural eyelooks that have absolutely no darkness to them, but I wanted to experiment with my Wet n Wild Comfort Zone Palette (shown at the bottom), and this is the look I got!

I used the left browbone shade on the inner 1/3, the left eyelid shade on the outer 2/3, the crease shade in the crease, the left eyelid shade to blend that out, and a little bit of the left definer in the outer corner.
Then I used my urban decay 24/7 eyeliner in zero on my waterline and upper lashline, and used my mega plush mascara.

Products I Don't Use Enough

Before I get to the post, I have some news to share!
I created a youtube channel and I'm going to start making videos about beauty and fashion.
If you want to check it out, here's the link:
I just posted my first video now. I'm so excited!!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hey guys! So I wiped my hard drive and now the virus is gone, so I'm back to blogging now! This post is about products I don't use enough, meaning they're great products, but I rarely use them.

Revlon Lip Butters: Strawberry Shortcake, Frutti Tutti
*I love the formula of these products, but the colors don't work for me. I'll have to try different colors.
NYX: Liquid Crystal Liner
*This is so easy to apply because it's not as intense as black where you notice every mistake, but I don't wear glitter on my eyes often, so that's why it's in this post.
Maybelline Color Tattoo: Tough as Taupe
*as you all have probably heard, this is an amazing cream eyeshadow, but I don't find uses for it because it's so dark and I don't know, I really never use it. Ever. It's too dark for all over your lid but it's difficult to use it in specific areas.
Wet n Wild Trio: I'm Getting Sunburned
These colors are gorgeous and pigmented, I just need to figure out how I want to use them.

Benefit 'Tan About Town' Review

'Our mini kit for a "quickie" tan... so natural-looking, nobody will know it came from a box.'

Hey guys! So today I have a review on this mini kit from Benefit called 'Tan About Town'. It costs $12 and includes 3 mini products.

Here's a picture of the products in my hand so you can get a general idea of their size.

In these pictures I'm wearing the three products and those 3 products only.
Left has flash, right has none.
I'm amazed by how well the Some Kind-a Gorgeous worked! My undereyes are nearly invisible and my redness on my cheeks looks like a pretty flush. The bronzer warmed up my face nicely and made me look less dead, but the mascara didn't do much at all.

Mini Hoola Bronzer                             full size: $28
Benefit's Description: Dust this soft bronze powder over your complexion for a healthy, natural looking "tan" year-round. No tanning bed necessary!  It's pure color - no sparkle and no shine!
My Thoughts: I like that this bronzer is matte because then you don't look shimmery, just tan. It also has great pigmentation. This product will probably get the least use however, because I don't use bronzer often. It does give nice warmth to the face and suits my skintone well. Light-medium skinned girls would enjoy this bronzer a lot. I've heard a lot about this bronzer on youtube also, many people love it. I might actually start wearing bronzer now that I have this one.

BADgal Lash Mini Mascara                   full size: $19
Benefit's Description: Sexy, sultry, pure unadulterated black mascara for full, voluminous lashes. It's as BAD as you want to be! Famously big, bodacious brush coats lashes with our super black formula.
My Thoughts: This mascara is nice, it has a big wand and a drier formula. I mean I like it, but it's not worth $19 for a full size. In my opinion, it's a little bit too dry of a formula. Since it's so dry, it's harder to build it up. I think Covergirl LashBlast and many other drugstore mascaras work just as well if not better, and for a much cheaper price. It's not bad, but you can find something better for less.
As you can see, my eyelashes look like they have absolutely no mascara on them. A disappointment.

Some Kind-a Gorgeous in Medium       full size: $30
Benefit's Description: Our oil-free, cream-to-powder formula fakes foundation...it's silky, even perfection for your complexion! This "instant beauty boost" will even out your skintone, making it look chart-topping gorgeous!
My Thoughts: I LOVE this product! It's exactly what I've been looking for for a very long time! It feels a little greasy on your finger, but after you apply it, it transforms to this silky perfect finish. I like it for covering up my problem spots (redness and undereye circles) and then I apply my Maybelline BB cream over my entire face and it makes me look flawless! I absolutely love this! However, $30 is a lot for one product, but I think I'd be willing. I found a new favorite product! I thought that medium would be too dark for me because I'm pale, but it does match me perfectly! In the winter months I'll probably need light though.

As a whole, I think this kit is a pretty good deal because you got to try 3 products for $12, so $4 each. Not bad for high end! If you want to try more benefit products, this would be a nice kit to buy.

These are the first benefit products I've ever tried, and 2/3 are amazing! I'm excited to try more of their products. I never really thought that high end products would be THAT much better than drugstore, but now that I'm trying more high-end products, I get why people are willing to spend so much money on them!

P.S. : My laptop isn't fixed yet :( some of these pictures were taken prior to the virus, and the others were added using my sisters computer. I'm back from the amusement park, and I'm making posts, but I can't post them until I can upload pics. I'm trying to get it fixed soon. :'(

Update: Technical Difficulties + Going Away

Soooo my computer has a virus, and until I get it fixed, no blogging for me :( I can only use it in safe mode, and I can't import pictures on safe mode. I'm getting it fixed ASAP, so hopefully it won't be long! Although I am going to an amusement park tomorrow and staying until tuesday, which might cause some delay. I'll be back soon!

Mini Sephora Haul

So I went to Sephora today to get my free birthday gift and also to get them to link my beauty insider account to a card, because I didn't have one, and this is what I got!

benefit tan about town: bad gal lash, some kind-a gorgeous, hoola bronzer
ralph lauren perfume sample

This is actually my first benefit purchase, which is SO exciting! As you can tell, I'm just starting to get into high end makeup and I don't have much, but I'm working on collecting some more!

Do you want reviews on any of these products? Let me know in the comments. :)

Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream Review

Hey guys! So today I have a review for a new product from Maybelline, their dream fresh BB cream! I know I'm excited about BB creams hitting the drugstore, because I don't like the heavy feel of foundation and I don't need much coverage, I just have redness on my cheeks and I do have pretty dry skin. That's why I love tinted moisturizers and BB creams, they're perfect for me!  I picked it up right before I went to the beach, so I could test it out and use it at the beach. Mine is in the shade light/medium and costed $7-8.

Claims:
Enhance skin with eight benefits in 1:
Blurs imperfections
Enhances
Brightens
Adjusts to skin tone
smoothes
hydrates
SPF 30 protects
0% oils and other heavy ingediants

I think it mainly lives up to its claims. It does have light coverage which blurs your imperfections, and doesn't cover them. Also I do think its smoothing, hydrating, brightening, and does enhance your skin. It gives you a dewy look. Although, it can get a little greasy feeling when it's extremely hot outside. If you have oily skin, this product might not be for you, because I have dry skin and it does give a very dewy look which can look oily when there's too much of it. As to the adjusting to skin tone, it does match my skin very well and doesn't look like I caked anything on. So I guess that means it adjusts!

My overall opinion: I really love this. It's a drugstore product so it's inexpensive and easy to get, it gives the perfect sheer coverage, and it doesn't feel heavy on the skin! I would recommend this to anyone who doesn't want or need heavy foundation with extreme coverage, especially to those with drier skin!

Walking On Eggshells

Recently I picked up this Wet n Wild Trio in Walking on Eggshells, which is extremely popular around the beauty community. It was $2.69 at Giant. It comes with 3 eyeshadows that tell you exactly where they go. emilynoel83 on youtube (Beauty Broadcast) Talking about all three of these colors being dupes for mac eyeshadows!
This is perfect for everyday, school, work, whatever you do on a daily basis because it's pretty natural and easy and quick.

I took the eyelid shade and put it all over my lid and then fluffed the crease shade into my crease. I put a tiny bit of the browbone shade on my inner corner.
I really love these eyeshadows, they're extremely pigmented and have an amazing price. Definitely my favorite drugstore eyeshadow brand!

Urban Decay Feminine Palette

So on Urban Decay's website, I noticed that these palettes were on sale from $32 to $16,  there were 3 options originally but the Feminine palette was the only one left. Urban Decay is having major sales, you should definitely check out their website. This palette is still on sale. It came with 3 samples: the primer potion, two face primers, and 3 tinted moisturizers. Also they sent a $5 off coupon for the next time I place an order. The palette came in super cute packaging. It came with a mini eyeshadow primer potion in Eden, a matte nude color.

Inside the palette is one of their 24/7 eyeliners in zero, which is black. Then it came with 6 eyeshadows.
Top: stray dog, swf, midnight cowboy,
Bottom: aquarius, darkhorse, ecstacy

I love how it has half neutral colors and half colorful. It's a really small palette so it will be great for travel and I think I'll get a lot of use out of it. This is actually my first purchase from Urban Decay!

So I would go check out their website for some awesome sales!

ULTA Brand Makeup Reviews!

I have acquired a few products from ULTA's makeup line; some amazing, and some not so great.

First I have two of their extreme wear whipped eye shadows. They are liquid-ish creams that harden when dry, which allows them to stay on for so long. They have a great wear time, when I wear them to school they're still perfectly there when I get home after around 8 hours. I have one in Cream Puff and one in Tiramisu Cream. I love love love the tiramisu cream (right one). It's amazing and perfect for every day. However, the cream puff one is definitely a miss. It looks like a light pink, but it sheers out to be an almost white streaky color that's not flattering and has no use whatsoever. These usually cost $8 but ULTA always has great sales and deals on their products, so you can get them for much cheaper.
So I love tiramisu cream, and strongly dislike cream puff.

Next I have some eyeshadows. On the left is just one of their singles in Sage. It's a light green with no visible sparkles in it. On the right is a baked eyeshadow duo in Sweet Dreams. The right side of it is a pinky-purple, and the marbled side comes off as a cool light brown. Neither of these shadows have astounding pigmentation.
The baked eyeshadow has the worst in my opinion. Even when used wet it's difficult to get lots of pigmentation off of it. You really have to build it up for it to be visible on the eyes. The baked eyeshadows are regularly $8.
Sage has a little bit better pigmentation that Sweet Dreams, though. My sister has lots of other eyeshadow singles from ULTA that are nicely pigmented, so maybe Sage is just sheer because it's a light color. I still do like it though. The single eyeshadows are regularly $7, but like I said you can get some amazing deals. They have a huuuge color selection so that's great.

Next I have one of their tinted lip balms in Sweet. This is my go-to lip product for everyday. It's very sheer, but moisturizing and gives a nice little tint to the lips. It does have visible sparkle in it, but you can't see it when you apply it to your lips. It gives them a nice sheen. I love this. They go for $6.00 regularly.

Then I have a gel eyeliner in Peacock, a fun turquoise color. This eyeliner is creamy and pigmented, and I love it for a pop of color on my waterline. It costs $8 regularly.

Here is swatches of everything.
Left to Right: Sweet Dreams Baked Eyeshadow, Peacock Eyeliner, Sage Eyeshadow, Cream Puff, Tiramisu Cream, Sweet Tinted Lip Balm

So that's all of the ULTA brand makeup I have! If you have any other ULTA makeup you love or hate, share it with a comment!

*Sorry that this post is so lengthy!

Small Haul

Today I ran some errands with my mom and I ended up getting a few things! From Old Navy I got brown sandals with some gold detailing  on the sides. They were around $18. Then, at Target, I was looking for BB creams to try, but they had none! But I couldn't resist the new megaplush mascara. A few days ago I tried out my friends mega plush mascara and I really love how it lengthens and separates. It was about $7. Last, I got another elf eyelid primer because I love it and it's only $1. So that was my small haul!
