elf Conditioning Lip Balm SPF 15

Hey guys! So today I have a post about this elf conditioning lip balm in Romantic Rouge, a pretty red color. It comes in a pot (with bulky packaging :P) and I use a lip brush to apply it. It's actually pretty pigmented and smells and tastes AMAZING! I practically lick it off my lips as soon as I put it on... hahah! This costs $3 and you can find it at eyeslipsface.com or target. I think it's worth looking into, if you're into yummy smelling and tasting lip products, and it comes in a few different shades. I believe this one is the darkest, though.

elf Undereye Concealer & Highlighter

Recently from Target I picked up this elf under eye concealer and highlighter. It was $3 and I got it in the shade fair. It comes with two ends, essentially two products in one. One side is the concealer side, and the other is a highlighter. I like using both sides in conjunction to brighten and conceal under eye circles. As you can see in the pictures above, I make a ring around my eye with the concealer side, and then proceed to place one dot of highlighter in the center. When it's all blended out, your under eye circles are gone and the area is brightened. You can also use the highlighter side as an eye shadow base, the packaging mentions, but I haven't tried that. It's very sparkly so I wouldn't necessarily recommend using it as a face highlighter, but for your inner corner and cupid's bow, it could be a lovely highlight. I have been really enjoying this product and I'm glad I bought it! The only downside is that it's not great for covering blemishes because it is aimed towards the under eye, so you kind of need to have two concealers, another one for blemishes.

Review: elf Custom Eyes singles

Ivory/Pink Ice/Wisteria/Wheat/Moondust/Aubergine

Hey guys! Today I have a review on these elf Custom Eyes singles. They cost $1 and are the same size as a mac eyeshadow. Mac eyeshadows cost $12 each, 12x the cost of a single eyeshadow from elf. They have a large range of colors, but these were the only ones available in my target. You can find the rest online. You can also buy a palette from elf that holds 4 of these for $1, but since I had space in my mac palette I put them in there. I bought 6: ivory, a shimmery white, pink ice, a very light shimmery pink, wisteria, a shimmery light lilac/pinkish purple, wheat, a shimmery golden brown, moondust, a shimmery medium brown, and aubergine, a shimmery plum/eggplant. These eyeshadows are nicely pigmented, very soft, and buttery. When using them, you should definitely not swirl your brush, because it will cause a lot of fallout. A simple tap will give you the product needed, similar to wet n wild eyeshadows. The lighter colors aren't shockingly pigmented especially on the eyes, but hey, they are light colors. WIsteria, the light lilac/pink definitely isn't quite as vibrant on the eyes, but all the darker colors show up lovely. Now, here's for the shocking thing: I like these better than my mac eyeshadows! I'm the first one to admit I love me some expensive makeup with fancy name brands, but when it comes down to price and what works best, I have to side with these little babies. I'm so excited to try more colors, because the website has so many more gorgeous options! So, overall, even if you don't have a mac palette, get an elf quad and fill it. These are definitely worth the $5 it'll cost you to make the palette.

Hey guys! So I went to target and picked up a few things and I figured I would show you! I realized my concealer was getting a bit too dark for me, so first I got this elf under eye concealer and highlighter that I've had my eyes on for a while. Also, I found out that the elf singles fit in mac palettes! I've had my mac palette since June and I only have 3 eyeshadows in it, so I figured why not fill maybe half of it with elf eyeshadows? My first impression of these shadows is that they're super pigmented and buttery and soft. The moisturizer I purchased because I need to pay more attention to my skin. I don't really do much besides wash it, which probably isn't enough, so I picked up a moisturizer. The black sheer tights were a must have for me, because they match just about anything. My obsession with tights is growing... (I bought 6 pairs from Charlotte Russe about two weeks ago). Finally, I got the maybelline line stiletto in blackest black because I have it in black/brown and I wanted black too. I'll be doing some reviews on these products, so keep a look out! Products I Don't Use Enough #2

Hey guys! So today I am doing my second 'Products I Don't Use Enough' post. These are products that are really great and that I love, but I just hardly use them!

First, at the top left, is my elf duo eyeshadow cream in Butter Pecan. These make great bases for eyeshadow.

At the top right is my ULTA whipped eyeshadow in tiramisu. I absolutely love this. It stays on all day without a primer and has great pigmentation

Last, my NYX lip glosses. These are so pigmented and nice looking, but I just don't wear gloss all that often. Top is french kiss, middle is beige, and bottom is nude peach.

Ombre Lips!♥

My Favorite Red Lip

Hey guys! So today I have a post about my favorite red lip. I'm not very bold, so I like a more natural looking lip. Anyways, these are the products I use!

 elf lipstick in fearless $1 ; sugar lips rose treatment $22.50 full size

 First, I use the sugarlips treatment as a base for the red, it gives a little tint and moisturizes well. Then, I dab on the lipstick, not fully applying it, rub my lips together, blend a bit with my fingers, clean up the edges, and voila! You can make these lips as dark or light as you want, but I like the rosy look where it looks like you just ate a red popsicle, instead of where your lips are full on red.

Best & Worst: elf Essential $1 Brushes

Hey guys! So today I have a post about elf brushes. These are from the essential line, and they cost $1. I have tried 7, but there are still more for me to try. 

The Worst: 

elf smudge eye sponge: you know how some eyeliner come with a smudger on the end? that's literally what this is. I don't use it, like ever, and I didn't expect it to be like this. it's also much harder than most smudgers. this isn't very useful

elf fan brush: doesn't sweep away fallen eyeshadow like it should, doesn't pick up product easily, and once again isn't very useful.

The Best:

elf crease brush: nice and small, gets eyeshadows where you want them. nice for putting shadow under the lashline. 

elf blending brush: i wish it was bigger, but it does work nicely. 

elf eyeshadow brush: perfect for putting shadow all over the lid. 

*These brushes are a must-have for only $1!

I also have two other brushes from elf but I didn't have that much of an opinion of them that they would belong in either the best or the worst. I have the eyeliner brush and the eyebrow comb. 

Keep in mind I haven't tried every single brush in their line. But of the ones I have tried, these are the best, the worst, and the inbetweeners. I'm looking forward to trying their $3 brushes. 

Small Haul

Today I ran some errands with my mom and I ended up getting a few things! From Old Navy I got brown sandals with some gold detailing  on the sides. They were around $18. Then, at Target, I was looking for BB creams to try, but they had none! But I couldn't resist the new megaplush mascara. A few days ago I tried out my friends mega plush mascara and I really love how it lengthens and separates. It was about $7. Last, I got another elf eyelid primer because I love it and it's only $1. So that was my small haul!

elf Single Eyeshadow Review

I have 3 of these elf single eyeshadows, so I decided why not do a review on them? (Sorry about posting so much about elf! Since I had that huge haul I've been working with those products) I have them in oatmeal, pebble, and saddle.

Oatmeal is hard to see because it's such a skin-toned natural color. It's my favorite out of the three. Oatmeal has sparkle, while saddle has more of a sheen, and pebble is matte. I personally love these eyeshadows because for $3, you get a pretty good amount of product. A lot of elf products are hit and miss, but I think these are hits.

July Favorites

So I'm finally back! I got my camera early, actually I got it today, and I was so excited I decided I had to do a post immediately! So I decided on july favorites!

Walking on Eggshells Wet n Wild Trio: This is amazing for an everyday look and the eyeshadows are so pigmented and easy to work with. I'm in love!

ULTA Tinted Lip Balm in Sweet: This looks so pretty on the lips, it's a light pink with sparkle and it's very sheer but gives your lips the prettiest sheen!

elf Nail Polish in Champagne: This color is the prettiest light pink that's perfect for everyday.

Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition 3 Minute Undo Dryness Reversal Treatment: This makes my hair soo smooth, but it can be extremely nourishing, so using it on the roots can make you a bit oily. I love to use it on my tips to keep them healthy!

Tresemme Tres Gel: This gel works really nice, I bought a travel size for the beach because I needed something to scrunch with, and I really love it!

Products I Regret Buying

So today I'm doing a post about products I regret buying. These are products I definitely wouldn't repurchase. I do have a lot of things I regret buying, but I felt like they all needed to be included. These range from nail polishes, to makeup, and a hair product. I'll put why I won't repurchase them also.

ULTA Nail Polish in Peach Parfait: too streaky

Funky Fingers Nail Polishes: streaky, messy, terrible quality

L.A. Colors Shimmering Loose Eyeshadow: inconvenient packaging, hard to get to the product, the brush it comes with gets smashed and messed up

Covergirl Lipstick in Sugar Almond: too much shimmer, shows the lines in your lips 

NYX Lipstick in Vitamin: too much sparkle

Wet N Wild Lipgloss in Cherish: basically pure shimmer

aussie anti-frizz cream: didn't do anything

Maybelline ultra liner waterproof: I don't like the brush, crumbles when you wear it too long and gets stuck in your eyelashes

elf liquid liner in silver: too liquidy, doesn't apply well

NYC pencil liner: hard to get any color on your waterline, too waxy not creamy enough

elf clarifying pressed powder in ivory: too powdery, too much fall-out, makes you look cakey, you can see the powder on your face

ULTA extreme wear cream eyeshadow in Creme Puff: I have one of these in tiramisu cream that I love, but this one doesn't have as much pigmentation and is hard to find uses for. It's light pink in the packaging but turns to a extremely sheer white shimmery color.

elf duo cream eyeshadow in butter pecan: barely any pigmentation, feels sort of greasy

covergirl quad in pure romance: don't use it much, pigmentation isn't great, shadows aren't easy to work with

revlon quad in neutral khaki's: pigmentation isn't great, lots of fallout when used to much, kind of powdery and messy

elf stipple brush: bristles aren't dense at all

So those are all of the products I regret buying, keep in mind a lot of them were inexpensive, and that's really what you could expect out of some of the products. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this post! 

elf Eyeshadow Look: Naturally Golden

So I was playing around with my new products from elf, and I came up with this really pretty eyeshadow look that I thought I would share! elf is one of my favorite drugstore brands because of it's great prices, and many of their products turn out to be amazing! This is a very affordable look, but is still gorgeous. The pictures don't completely show it justice because I couldn't have natural lighting,

Studio Eyeshadow Single in Oatmeal ($3)
Brightening Eye Color in Day 2 Night ($1)
Mineral Eyeshadow in Golden ($3)

I took the oatmeal eyeshadow and put that all over the lid, I used the taupe color from the Day 2 Night quad and put that on my outer corner and in the crease, and then patted a tiny bit of golden onto the center of the lid for extra sparkle.

There's a really good selection for colors, I had trouble picking which ones I wanted to try!

The pigmentation is best on the matte white and the darker colors.

For only $3, I think these are worth it.

Pretty easy to work with, except they're messy (but that's how it is with most powders)

Overall Rating: 4/5

These are great colors, and they do have pretty good pigmentation, except for a couple of the lighter colors.  I can apply most without a primer and you can still see the color and it doesn't look chalky, although I'd recommend a primer so that it sticks better and glitter doesn't get all over your face, because that's likely to happen with how glittery these are. A little bit goes a long way, so you have to be very light with how much you pick up, and be sure to tap off excess. A good use for these is to add a bit of sparkle into an eyeshadow look by patting a small amount to the center of the lid, but since they are soo glittery, I wouldn't recommend using multiple on the same look because then you'll just be extremely sparkly and it will probably fall onto your cheeks and make your face sparkle, which isn't very attractive! 

Huge elf Haul!

So elf was having a spend $30, get 10 free mineral eyeshadows deal. The mineral eyeshadows are $3 each, so basically, if you spend $30, you get $30 of eyeshadows for free. So I jumped on it! Since I got a good amount of stuff, I'm not going to do swatches yet, but my next couple of posts will probably be reviews and swatches of the items.
