The Nudes Palette by Maybelline

Hello everyone! Today I'm going to be showing you this little beauty that I found at Walmart today: The Nudes by Maybelline. This palette was $9.89 and comes with 12 different shadows, with a variety of mattes and shimmers. Upon inspection it reminded me heavily of my naked palette (more on that later). I decided to purchase it and see how it is! 

The packaging is quite simple, just plain black.

 

Here are all of the colors in the packaging, and down below are some swatches! They're all over an e.l.f. primer. As you can see, the dark colors are very pigmented. The lighter colors still show up, but since they are light, it's harder to see, especially on my pale skintone...

Upon comparison with my Naked palette, I found some pretty close dupes! The top two are from the Maybelline palette and the bottom two are from the naked palette. Dupes for smog and sin, not too bad for $10! I can see a lot of versatility in the palette as there is a great variety of looks from light to dark to create, even a black eyeshadow that shows up very well! Hey guys! So I went to target and picked up a few things and I figured I would show you! I realized my concealer was getting a bit too dark for me, so first I got this elf under eye concealer and highlighter that I've had my eyes on for a while. Also, I found out that the elf singles fit in mac palettes! I've had my mac palette since June and I only have 3 eyeshadows in it, so I figured why not fill maybe half of it with elf eyeshadows? My first impression of these shadows is that they're super pigmented and buttery and soft. The moisturizer I purchased because I need to pay more attention to my skin. I don't really do much besides wash it, which probably isn't enough, so I picked up a moisturizer. The black sheer tights were a must have for me, because they match just about anything. My obsession with tights is growing... (I bought 6 pairs from Charlotte Russe about two weeks ago). Finally, I got the maybelline line stiletto in blackest black because I have it in black/brown and I wanted black too. I'll be doing some reviews on these products, so keep a look out! Best of 2012!

Hey guys! So, since 2012 is over, I figured I'd do a best of 2012 post! I couldn't choose just 12 products of course... Anyways; this was my first year of blogging and I'm so happy to have another year to connect with more beauty lovers and discover new products! Bold Gold: Eye Look & Review

Hey guys! So today I have a review as well as a look for it. This is on Maybelline's Color Tattoo in Bold Gold. As you can see, I created gold eyeliner with the cream. I then topped it with Urban Decay's Half Baked for shimmer and shine. Then I used two mascaras: Covergirl Lashblast and Mabelline's MegaPlush Volume. It was really simple and only used 4 products!

Now, onto the review. This is the third color tattoo I've tried. The first two being Tough as Taupe and Barely Beige. As it says, this is a gold shimmery color with great pigmentation and it stays on forever! No primer necessary. Sometimes if I forget to take my makeup off there will be remnants of this left when I wake up! These Maybelline Color Tattoo's are the best things ever. I love them! Now if only they'd come out with a nude matte one...

FOTD: Simple

Today I felt very simple, and went for my makeup only used two products: Maybelline's Fit Me Concealer and Maybelline's MegaPlush mascara. Ever since eighth grade I've had it stuck in my head that I need eyeliner to be pretty and to look pretty, but I've finally broken that thought and figured out I don't need it. For now, I'm going to stop wearing it altogether :)

Without Primer

With Urban Decay Primer Potion in Eden

This is a new quad from Maybelline's Luminous Lights line. When I saw these shadows I thought they were gorgeous, and I had been looking for some peachy colored eyeshadows. However, the pigmentation is quite disappointing. They are similar to begin with, but you can't even tell that theres more than one color on your eye. They're way too sheer, even over a matte base. I would love this, but the shadows just aren't pigmented enough. I'd pass on this quad.

Maybelline Line Stiletto Review

Holy grail product found! This eyeliner is so easy to apply (and I'm terrible at liquid liner) and so pigmented! It stays all day and has a great color. I absolutely love this and recommend it to everyone! The applicator is a sponge tip and it's so easy to use. I now wear liquid liner daily! Mine is is black/brown, although its more brown than black. I can't rave enough about this eyeliner! It's a great product!

Double Maybelline Review

Hey guys! So today I have a review on two Maybelline products. 

First up is 'Cherry Me' Baby Lips. I also half one of these in 'Pink Punch' but I don't like it. It's too barbie pink for my taste. This one is a sheer strawberry red. The babylips are super moisturzing, and next on my wishlist is the peach one. 

This lipbalm gives a sheer red tint that I really love. Swatches down below! They cost about $3-$4 depending on where you go.

Next I have my limited edition Color Tattoo cream eyeshadow in 'Barely Beige'

Excuse my chipping nail polish! This is a lovely neutral base. It's a shimmery champagne that a lot of people say is a dupe for Mac's Bare Study paintpot. Like all other color tattoos, this has amazing staying power. I put it on at 6 in the morning, and it's still there at 7 at night. These have absolutely no creasing, and are an amazing deal for $8! I also have one of these in Tough as Taupe, but I don't find many uses for it. It's kind of dark.

So that's it for my double Maybelline review. I've been loving these two products recently. Drugstore products are totally worth checking out!

Beauty Haul!

Hey guys! A small haul for you today. I went to CVS because I ran out of makeup remover and my mom was going to be near it, so i picked up their "cleansing & makeup remover towelettes." I've never used their makeup remover wipes, but I used one last night and I really like it! They're really soft and do a nice job. They were $5. Then, of course, I picked up a limited edition color tattoo by maybelline in "Barely Beige" a shimmery neutral some have compared to bare study paint pot by mac. It was about $8. Last, I got another maybelline babylips in Cherry Me. A pretty sheer red color. It was $4.

Eyeshadow Look: Golden Rose

Hey guys! So today I have an eyeshadow look, and it's a golden-rosey look. Sorry it's hard to see in the pic, I had trouble getting a good picture of it!

I used the revlon cream eyeshadow natural color (2nd color in the bottom palette) as a base.

Then I took mac's Honey Lust eyeshadow (left color in the big palette) on the inner corner and around the tear duct.

Last, I took the lighter pink color in the Maybelline quad (top right) and put that on my outer half.

Eyeshadow Look: Smokey Green

 Hey guys! So today I have an eyeshadow look that's a bit out of the ordinary for me. Usually I stick to natural eyelooks that have absolutely no darkness to them, but I wanted to experiment with my Wet n Wild Comfort Zone Palette (shown at the bottom), and this is the look I got!

I used the left browbone shade on the inner 1/3, the left eyelid shade on the outer 2/3, the crease shade in the crease, the left eyelid shade to blend that out, and a little bit of the left definer in the outer corner.

Then I used my urban decay 24/7 eyeliner in zero on my waterline and upper lashline, and used my mega plush mascara.
