Mac Fabulousness Palette: Holiday Gift

Hey guys! Today I have a post about this gorgeous mac palette that I got from my sister for Christmas. It's part of the holiday collection, but the eyeshadows inside can be bought full size. First let me just say, the packaging is ADORABLE! Mint with a bow? So cute. I keep this on top of my makeup storage, one for fear of it getting dirty, but also because I want to show it off! It's decorative and useful.

The eyeshadows it comes with are Blonde Mink, Magical Mist, Brun, Enviable, and Smut. It also comes with a mini 213 brush!

Left to right:
Blonde Mink: a neutral light grayish-tan color with shimmer
Magical Mist: a sparkly light taupe
Brun: a darker brown, appears matte but it a satin
Enviable: gorgeous shimmery teal/silver
Smut: a nice dark brown

Isn't it a beauty! It suits my blue/green eyes very well. You can go dramatic and dark, or light, or even colorful because of Enviable. These shadows are absolutely gorgeous and the face that they're not crazily pigmented makes them easier to work with in my opinion. As for the brush, it's kind of tiny, so not quite so useful, hahaha. Anyways, so overall I really like these shadows. I have quite a small Mac collection, so this added to it. So far I have only tried Mac eyeshadows. I would really like to try some lipstick, lipglass, and highlighters. Maybe in the future!

Mac Trax Eyeshadow

Hey guys! I finally got another mac eyeshadow for my palette! This color is called Trax.
This is a unique lilac color with gold shimmer to it.

This eyeshadow has just enough pigmentation where you don't have to work for it, but you can pack it on as you please.

I find that this is a gorgeous alternative to neutral browns. Purple looks good with all eye colors!

Oh, and also... I hit 2012 views! Thought it was funny :)

Eyeshadow Look: Golden Rose

Hey guys! So today I have an eyeshadow look, and it's a golden-rosey look. Sorry it's hard to see in the pic, I had trouble getting a good picture of it!
I used the revlon cream eyeshadow natural color (2nd color in the bottom palette) as a base.
Then I took mac's Honey Lust eyeshadow (left color in the big palette) on the inner corner and around the tear duct.
Last, I took the lighter pink color in the Maybelline quad (top right) and put that on my outer half.

Mac Palette: Newest Addition

I got my Mac palette in New York City a few weeks ago, and I only had one eyeshadow to go in it. So my plan was to accumulate the 15 eyeshadows overtime. I finally bought my next color, satin taupe! This one is extremely popular and I'm sure everyone has already heard of it. It's a gorgeous taupe color (of course) and it looks amazing as a crease color if I use honey lust all over my lid. I can already tell, I am going to be a mac addict!

Eyeshadow Look: Neutral Sparkle

Today I did an eyeshadow look that pulled colors from many different brands of shadows.

What I used:
NYX Eyeshadow Base in White
Mac Shadow: Honey Lust
Maybelline Eyestudio quad in Taupe Temptress (top quad)
Revlon Colorstay 12 Hour Eyeshadow Quad in Neutral Khakis (bottom quad)
Hard Candy Kal-eye-descope Baked Eyeshadow Duo in High Maintenance

What I did first was use NYX Eyeshadow Base  all over my lid. Then I used the cream color out of the Hard Candy Duo Baked Shadow all over my lid. Then, I went back in with my Revlon eyeshadow palette in  and used the golden brown color on my outer corner. Next I mixed the second Hard Candy Duo brown shadow mixed in with the darkest brown from the Revlon palette in my crease. Then, I took Mac's Honey Lust and patted that in the center of my eyelid. Finally, I took the white sparkly color from my Maybelline palette and used it on my inner corner. Although it did show up pretty well on camera, I think my flash toned down the brown golden colors that were present.

Since this look is so shimmery, I would recommend using makeup remover to swipe under your eyes to make sure the glitter that fell doesn't stay. (I didn't for this picture however). No one wants to look shimmery all over their face!

NYC Haul: Mac

So I stopped at Mac in New York and made my very first purchase! I got the eyeshadow palette and got one pan-form eyeshadow to go in it. I could've gotten more, but I decided not to spend ALL of my money on makeup. I'm going to work up to a full palette over time, so that it doesn't seem as if I'm spending so much on it (even though I am.)
The color I got was Honey Lust. It's a golden brown eyeshadow. It's super pigmented and easy to apply, and I'm very impressed with the quality of it. Mac is definitely an amazing brand.
